Public Records Request

 

In Florida, state and local governmental agencies must, by law, provide access to public records upon request. Per F.S.119.011(12), "public records" means all documents, papers, letters, maps, books, tapes, photographs, films, sound recordings, data processing software, or other material, regardless of the physical form, characteristics, or means of transmission, made or received pursuant to law or ordinance or in connection with the transaction of official business by any agency.

If you wish to make a public records request, please complete a Public Records Request Form and submit it to the Records Management Liaison Officer in one of the following manners:

FEE RECOVERY POLICY:

Once a request for public records has been received, an estimate of applicable charges will be provided. Fees for duplicating public records will be adhered to according to the St. Johns County Property Appraiser's fee schedule and the rules set forth by F.S.119.07(4). Fees will be applied to the first half hour of service provided and calculated forward.

All charges must be paid for prior to the fulfillment of a public records request. We do not accept credit cards.
